On April 26th, HORAN was named first place winner in the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Healthiest Employers of Greater Cincinnati, and honored for its commitment to creating a healthy workplace. HORAN was selected in its size category, based on number of employees, for creating and implementing one of the most outstanding health and wellness programs among local companies.
Wellness programs provide a number of benefits for employers including reducing or containing health-care costs and increasing productivity. For HORAN, the wellness program also helps the company set an example for its clients, letting HORAN demonstrate the newest and most effective strategies for keeping employees healthy.
In addition to developing an internal program, HORAN has created the HORAN Health Management Way, and has begun to roll this initiative out to our clients. According to HORAN’s Jessica Woodward and Carrie Glandorf, Co-Chairs of HORAN’s Wellness Team, “The HORAN Health Management Way helps the company to design wellness programs for clients based on their stage of involvement and readiness to incorporate wellness in their corporate culture. The goal is to customize the Health Management Way to clients based on culture, readiness, resources, motivation and other factors each employer has in place in terms of wellness.”
Wellness and health have become and integral part of the culture at HORAN. “I am very proud of HORAN’s Wellness Team,” said Terry Horan, CEO. “Our employees have set the bar, and we will continue to strive for excellence."
