HORAN’s Dominic Franchini Celebrates with 2015 Class of Forty Under 40

Dominic Franchini, Vice President & Market Leader for Cincinnati, is a Cincinnati Business Courier's 2015 Forty Under 40 Award recipient. This year’s class of 40 were honored at a luncheon on September 22 at Music Hall. The festive event included music chosen by each honoree, a few dance moves and statement shoes, which added to the fun and gave attendees a glimpse at each winner’s personality.

Bob Herzog, WKRC-TV News Anchor and past Forty Under 40 winner, was emcee for the event.

The Forty Under 40 award is given annually to young professionals since 1995, recognizing individuals for their accomplishments in shaping the community's future. The award emphasizes leadership and potential leadership as well as encompasses the work conducted in all areas of the community including business, politics, the arts, nonprofits, education health care or public service. Community involvement is a key factor taken into consideration when selecting the award winners. 

Dominic joined HORAN upon graduation from Furman in 2004. He has worked through many roles at HORAN in a short period.  He was promoted to Vice President in 2014 and named the Cincinnati Market Leader in 2015. 

His accomplishments at HORAN include creating the Medicare Service Department and establishing himself as an expert in Health Care Reform. He regularly leads seminars for HORAN clients. Additionally he has spoken at many events on the topic, including at the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce, European American Chamber of Commerce, Goering Center and at the United Benefits Advisors (UBA) national sales and market development conference. 

Additionally, Dominic was selected by the Goering Center for Family and Private Business to participate in the Goering Leadership Development program.  

Dominic is an active Board Member in the European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC). Recognized as a leader personally and professionally, Dominic helps international firms sort through challenges associated with health benefits globally.  Dominic is a member of the EACC Development Committee. On this committee, he helps international businesses become more engaged with the EACC and generate new membership.

Corporate social responsibility is a core value at HORAN. Dominic embraces that value and found opportunities to leverage his professional skills for worthy causes.

In 2011, Dominic joined the Board of Directors at Sojourner Recovery Services, a non-profit organization located in Butler County that provides substance abuse treatment for individuals and their families.  Dominic quickly took the lead and within one year was voted to Chairman of the Board.

Deeply committed to the local business community, Dominic is a graduate of Leadership Hamilton and joined the United Way Tocqueville Society in 2013 and continues as a member today.
