HORAN Awarded the Elizabeth Herald Community Support Award from the Brighton Center

HORAN was awarded Elizabeth Herald Community Support Award from the Brighton Center at its annual dinner. The award is given to an individual or company who has displayed continued support of the Center and is commemorated with a beautiful quilt. Board Member at Brighton Center and HORAN Vice President Michael Napier accepted the award with other HORAN professionals at their Annual Dinner.

Since the early 1980s, HORAN has been a partner and supporter of Brighton Center. HORAN regularly has employees serve on the board and sponsors many of its events. We also provide volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Each year he Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) service is a partnership with the Internal Revenue Service, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and Brighton Center which offers free income tax preparation in Newport, Florence, and Grant County during the tax return season.

It is estimated that one in five families eligible for the claim Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) do not receive it. In 2014, Brighton Center served 851 households, generating $1,092,128 in tax refunds and saving an estimated $200 per return or $170,200 in total filing fees for customers.
