HORAN Dayton Performing Arts Alliance Scholarship Winners

HORAN proudly awarded the HORAN Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (DPAA) Scholarships at the DPAA Gala.  The scholarship winners were:

Alexius Edmonds

Allie Edmonds, a fourth year Art History major at Wright State University, graduated from Lakota East High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Allie would like to focus her studies on artworks from Asia and is currently learning the Chinese language to enhance her abilities.  An active participant in performing and visual arts since childhood, Allie has frequented museums and art exhibitions, fostering her love of art and art history.

Joshua Hakala

Joshua Hakala, a vocal music education major at Wright State University, is a graduate of Western Brown High School in Mount Orab, Ohio. Of Finnish descent, his interests include singing and practicing in his field.

Suzanne Herman

Suzie Herman is a vocal performance major at Wright State University. She is from Dayton, Ohio where she attended Dayton Christian High School. During her high school career Suzie participated in band, choir, musical theater, drama, and earned a role in the Dayton Opera’s production of Tosca. Currently, Suzie sings in both women’s chorale and collegiate chorale, along with leading worship at Campus Crusade for Christ meetings. When Suzie is not singing she can be found playing the piano, reading, swimming, or spending time with her family and friends. One unique fact about Suzie is that she lifeguards in the Student Union at Wright State University.
